I can’t really remember when I didn’t want to paint. I try to look at everything not as objects, but as shapes, darks and lights, and colors. I know it really isn’t magic but almost seems like it when a person can take a stark white canvas and by pushing some paint around create a painting. It’s just so much fun I never get tired of it. My painting is constantly changing and evolving, and the learning never seems to stop. I just love that.
I enjoy workshops and belonging to art leagues. I’m a member of the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County, Bethlehem Palette Club, Lehigh Art Alliance, and the Paint Box in Nazareth. I also like to enter shows; I’ve won some awards. I earned second place last summer in the ‘quick draw’ in New Hope, in the nonprofessional group.
I have 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I live in Easton but am originally from Texas. I am mostly self-taught, though I studied with John N. Booth for 10 years off and on.
