First, Second, Third Place, 2 Honorable Mention Awards, and the Materese Roche Memorial Award will be chosen by our juror and presented on Saturday, June 22, between 1pm and 4pm at our Open House at Freeman Hall.

People’s Choice Award

Art Show 2024

The Arts and Cultural Council would like to thank all our patrons, our members, and the showing artists who participated in our 2024 Members Show. It was a huge success. Congratulations to all the 2024 Members Show artist award winners

ABOUT ENTRYTHINGY:

  • First time EntryThingy users will need to create an account by clicking on the “go here” link on the EntryThingy login page. Prepare your ONE artwork image to submit on EntryThingy
  • 72 dpi, JPEG
  • File size must not exceed 5 MB
  • Focused, not blurry; not crooked; cropped; high quality.
  • Your image MUST be saved with identification when submitted as follows:
    First name Last name_Title_Medium
  • A&C reserves the right to reject images that are poor quality, not properly prepared or labeled.
  • Artists may not replace images or change object information after submitting on EntryThingy.
  • This artwork image will be in the online show & in-person show at Freeman Hall.

SUBMISSIONS:

Deadline date for all entries submitted:

Artwork will not be accepted for any reason after 5pm on May 28.

ENTRYTHINGY SUBMISSIONS:

  • ONLY your ONE gallery piece should be submitted on EntryThingy.
  • Do not submit portfolio pieces on EntryThingy. Two portfolio pieces may be submitted to the Member show.
  • Email exhibitions@bucksarts.org with the following information for your two portfolio pieces: your name, title, medium, & price.
  • Do not submit portfolio pieces on Entrythingy, you will drop them off for the in-person show at Freeman Hall, 181 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA on June 4, 3-7pm along with your ONE gallery piece.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR ARTWORKS:

  • Submitted pieces can be 2D or 3D in any medium.
  • Paintings, works on paper, mixed media, digital art, photography, sculpture, fine craft (such as jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, fiber arts) and relief sculpture will be accepted.

REQUIREMENTS FOR 2D ARTWORKS:

FRAMED ART:
  • Not to exceed 36”x36” including the frame.
  • All framed art must be properly wired for hanging. No sawtooth hangers. A&C reserves the right to reject work that is not properly prepared or in poor condition for hanging.
  • Do not include the frame in the artwork image that is submitted on EntryThingy,
    only submit the artwork.
PORTFOLIO PIECES:
  • Portfolio pieces not to exceed 18”x24”.
  • Portfolio pieces must be completely wrapped (all sides) in clear acetate or in a sealed acetate sleeve/envelope.
  • All portfolio pieces must be labeled properly with artist contact information included INSIDE the acetate.
  • Label with Name, Title, Medium, Price.
    Label must be affixed to the upper back right corner of the piece INSIDE the acetate.
  • Email exhibitions@bucksarts.org with the following information of your two portfolio pieces: your name, title, medium, and price.
  • Portfolio pieces – Drop off at Freeman Hall with ONE Gallery piece on June 4, 3-7pm.

REQUIREMENTS FOR 3D ARTWORKS:

SCULPTURE:
  • Size requirement: 18”x18”x18”.
  • Artists must supply their own pedestal.
  • Freestanding Sculpture – Not to exceed 24” square on floor space.

REQUIREMENTS FOR FINE CRAFT:

  • For Fine Craft such as jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, and fiber arts, artists must supply any materials or support to display their items.
  • All artwork must include the artist’s name, title of piece, medium, & price displayed on artwork.

SALES:

  • All artwork created as part of the Members Show will be available for sale.
  • Artists will receive 80% of the proceeds from the sale of any artwork. The remaining 20% will support the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County.
  • Online Gallery 24/7: www.bucksarts.org. Artists are responsible for any shipping fees or costs for artwork sold on the online gallery.

PROMOTION & OUTREACH:

  • All submitted artworks may be used for promotional purposes.
  • Only artwork submitted online before midnight on May 18 will be considered for use in ads, posters, and the pre-show social media posts.
  • A&C will promote the Members Show through paid digital and social ads, social media, extensive publicity in local and arts press, and prominently featured on A&C website.
  • A&C will host community events during the exhibition. We invite you to offer a gallery talk or paint en plein air as part of this initiative. Email: info@bucksarts.org for more information.
  • When you drop off your artwork, we urge you to sign up for 2-hour slots of reception help, gallery sitting, and desk help on drop-off day and pick-up day. We need your help!

LIABILITY:

All art work submitted for the Members Show is the possession and responsibility of the artist.

A&C has permission to use submitted works for digital and print promotional purposes across media, including the right to archive images.

The artist’s name may be used in conjunction with the works.

I understand that the A&C will not share these works with any other institution or organization for their use without prior permission.
