The wide-open spaces, barns, animals, and gardens from Cindy’s childhood farm have greatly influenced her work as a painter. “I like to take my paintings to a quieter place that reflects a more organic aesthetic, evoking a sense of peace.”
Influenced by both the early and contemporary Bucks County artists, she first picked up a paintbrush in 2008. Wanting to follow her own artistic voice, she set about the task and joy of teaching herself to paint in oils.
Her work has garnered both local and international awards, including the Phillips’ Mill, the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County, the Tinicum Arts Festival, New Hope Arts, the Conservatory Guild, Artist of the Year Finalist for the Circle Foundation for the Arts, the American Art Awards, the Artist’s Magazine Juried Competitions, Gallery Ring Competitions, publication in the Illuminate edition of Apero and the Bucks County Magazines, as well as inclusion in film, and notable invitational and solo exhibitions. She is currently represented by Canal Frame-Crafts Gallery in Washington Crossing, PA, and The Upstairs Gallery, and welcomes visitors to her in-house gallery & studio.
