Painting has always been an opportunity for me to capture a moment, a feeling of what it’s like to stand in one spot and experience the colors, the movement of the water or the contrast of light and shadow in nature or on a city street. I want to preserve, on canvas, the beauty I see in Bucks County, the islands and other places I have traveled. I have lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for over 20 years and I draw inspiration from the color and composition used by Pennsylvania Impressionists including Anthony Michael Autorino, William L. Lathrop and Walter Elmer Schofield.

Allison Lucerne received her BFA in Illustration from the University of the Arts in 1996. Over the years she has worked as a medical/scientific illustrator, an art director, and a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. Her work has been featured in many books, on product packaging, wine labels, corporate marketing materials, ad campaigns, and websites. Allison lives in Newtown, Pennsylvania with her husband, David and their corgi, Scotch. Their son, Luke, attends The United States Naval Academy and their daughter, Audrey, will attend Boston University in the Fall of 2020.
