Sheila Fernekes creates contemporary art jewelry using ancient Native American and African bead weaving techniques. Weaving and layering each bead one at a time, she explores the interplay of color, pattern and texture that has become her trademark. Her love for Impressionist painting combined with the dynamic modernism of Bauhaus art are her inspiration.
