Susan Roberts

My name is Susan Roberts. I live in beautiful Bucks County Pennsylvania, an area rich with art and history. 

I paint what inspires and challenges me. I am often inspired by the many places I have visited and photographed. I am also inspired by places and things that my friends and family find dear. 

I work with pastel and oil for the most part, but I find exploring all media fun.

As long as I can remember I have wanted to be an artist. I did a lot of work in high school, after that I spent many years a dormant artist. I replaced painting with gardening. Plants were my palette. Fast forward to our move to Bucks County in 2012. It was a life changing move. I was able to set up a studio in our home. I began to get more serious about my painting. I joined and eventually became president of Bucks Mont Art League and began studying oil painting with a local artist. This year I fulfilled a dream and participated in my first art show/festival. It was the Doylestown Festival of the Arts in September. A wonderful community event. It was a great experience. Meeting buyers and collectors was a dream come true. Finding out what attracted them to the painting and being able to tell them my story about the work was amazing. I intend to continue to show my work in the area.
