My name is Lisa Thorsten. As a native of Pennsylvania, I enjoy capturing the wild flora and fauna of our beautiful state, imagining it as early residents did through an understanding of our history. I work primarily in oil and watercolor from my home in Bucks County. When I can, I also work in the PA Wilds area of northcentral Pennsylvania and the northeast coast of Florida.

While painting for this celebration, I was focused on nature in my neighborhood and imagined my portraits of birds as inspiration for the tile artisans working at Fonthill.
