Join us for a Pre-screening Lobby Reception, followed by the film, The Taste of Things Plus Discussion with Gary Lee Kraut, editor of France Revisited web magazine.
Post-screening dinner option to join Gary at Anton’s at the Swan where you can discuss your upcoming France travel plans.
For our discussion, Gary will speak about food culture in France, both the cliché and the reality, and about his recent research into “bistro life” in Paris. He’ll whet our appetite for travel to France (and dinner at Anton’s) with stories about the owners, chefs and patrons of the dwindling yet living institution that is the old-fashion neighborhood bistro.

Film 4:45pm followed by Discussion.
Dinner at Antons at the Swan 8pm
About the Film:
As epicurean as French haute cuisine, The Taste of Things indulges our palates with an exquisite seven-course love story for the soul. Cook Eugenie and her boss Dodin grow fond of one another over 20 years, and their romance gives rise to dishes that impress even the world’s most illustrious chefs. When Dodin is faced with Eugenie’s reluctance to commit, he begins to cook for her.
