As a poet, I enjoy language as music, magic, object, and event. Many of my visual works explore impermanence in one way or another–as with mail art, which is subject to the tender mercies of the postal service, or erasable erasures, in which a poem is created by temporarily occluding some of the words in a prose passage with movable objects. What I appreciate about visual arts is the manifestation of idea as concrete object.
