Last year as well as this spring, I visited the Mercer Museum and the Moravian Tile Works to enjoy again the work of Henry Mercer. I took photographs, sketched, and obtained some damaged tiles to create a collage that would express the range and depth of Mercer’s contribution to the culture of Bucks County. I added to the collage some old tools, concrete, and wood that suggested the diversity of the Mercer collections and the buildings themselves.
