Bio:
I grew up in Ohio with a passion for art. It was in my high school art history class that I first encountered the work of Artemisia Gentileschi, an artist whose work started my journey into oil painting. While I continue to refine my drawing skills, oil painting has become the medium I connect with the most.     
Art history has not only opened my eyes to the artistic movements and figures that I admire, but it has also inspired me to pursue a degree in the field. Although I am still in the early stages of my studies, I have found the learning process is the best part. As I continue my education through formal courses, independent reading, and personal artistic practice, I hope to share what I know through my blog.
 Recently, I relocated from Ohio to Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia. I live here with my fiancé, an artist himself, who has been my greatest source of support as I continue to pursue my artistic and academic endeavors.
