Juror: Lou Schellenberg
Lou is an oil painter who creates
landscapes of dwellings and nature
in Pennsylvania, Maine,
and Nova Scotia.
Her work is in many collections across
the U.S. and Canada.
She has also done
commissioned art for L.L. Bean,
The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center,
Penn Medicine and other medical centers.

ABOUT ENTRYTHINGY:
- First time EntryThingy users will need to create an account by clicking on Login and then the “go here” link. Prepare your ONE artwork image to submit on EntryThingy
- 72 dpi JPEG
- Not exceeding 2400 pixels on the largest side
- Be sure image is focused, not crooked or cropped
- Do not include the frame in the image of your work, unless it is integral to the piece.
- Your image should be saved with identification when submitted as follows:
- First name Last name_Title_Medium
- A&C reserves the right to reject images that are of poor quality, not properly prepared or labeled.
- Artists may not replace images or change object information after submitting.
- This artwork image will be in the online show & in-person show at Freeman Hall.
SUBMISSIONS:
- ONLY your ONE gallery piece should be submitted on EntryThingy.
- Do not submit portfolio pieces on EntryThingy.
- Two portfolio pieces may be submitted to the show.
- Email: exhibitions@bucksarts.org with the following information for your two portfolio pieces: your name, title, medium and price. Its OK to include images in that email.
- Drop them off for the in-person show at:
- Freeman Hall, 181 E Court St, Doylestown, PA on April 6, 3-6 pm along with your ONE gallery piece.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR 2D ARTWORKS:
FRAMED ART:
- One entry only, ready to hang with proper hardware and wire. Sawtooth hangers or clip frames etc. are not acceptable. A&C reserves the right to reject work that is not properly prepared.
- All painting media, printmaking, drawing, collage, photography and mixed media accepted.
- Size restriction of 36″ by 36″ including the frame applies.
PORTFOLIO PIECES:
- Artists are encouraged to submit up to two portfolio pieces.
- Size restrictions of 18″ x 24″ applies: no thicker than 1/4″ thick.
- Framed pieces, panels with support or stretched canvases are not acceptable for portfolio entry.
- Artwork must be completely enclosed in clear acetate or in a sealed acetate sleeve.
- Label each piece with full name, medium, and price in the upper back right corner inside the acetate.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR 3D ARTWORKS:
- One entry only, including pedestal and/or support as needed for display.
- All sculpture mediums and fine-art crafts include jewelry, metalwork, ceramics, fiber arts, etc.
- Size restriction of 18″x18 x18″ applies.
- All artwork must include a tag with the following: name, medium and price.
- The artist may be asked to assist in positioning the artwork.
SALES
- All submissions including portfolio pieces must be for sale at a reasonable price.
- Artists will receive 80% of the proceeds on any sale; 20% is retained by the A&C for operating costs.
- Artists are responsible for shipping fees and costs, if applicable, associated with online sales of their work.

PROMOTION & OUTREACH:
- A&C will promote the show through paid digital and social media ads, publicity in local and art press and on the A&C website.
- A&C welcomes painters to paint en plein air on property during exhibition hours. Email: exhibitions@bucksarts.org for more information.
- When you drop off your artwork, we urge you to sign up for 2-hour slots of reception help, gallery sitting and pick up day. Or, access the schedule HERE
LIABILITY
- By submitting work, the artist understands and agrees that A&C, and their members, directors and officers, are not liable for loss or any damage to artwork. All artworks will be handled with care and professionalism. It is recommended that artists insure their work while at the Exhibit. A&C reserves the right to use any images for digital and print promotional purposes across media, including the right to archive images; the artist’s name may be used in conjunction with the artwork. Other than showing the work and the other rights here in, the artist retains all rights to their work.
