Stitching on marbled fabric paper using 19th-century materials (silk, tulle, beads) in conversation with Mary Ivins Cunningham’s botanical studies and Newtown’s history. • Cost: $20 adults, $10 youth(ages 12 – 16) and students. Fees will be collected on day of workshop • RSVP: Confirm your spot by emailing to gallery@bucks.edu Participant Prompt Join us and take a moment to reflect on the upcoming 250th anniversary or a forgotten fragment of Newtown’s local history. Think about what remains in plain sight but goes unnoticed—a specific local plant species, color, pattern, silhouette, entry from a 19th-century archive. All sourced from Mary Ivins Cunningham’s ephemera and artworks. Pick a sketch, a photocopied image, or a short-written note of a botanical or historical element that feels like a piece worth preserving through stitching. Make an original piece of sampler art!
