Everyday comfort is another theme I enjoy painting from a still. One can feel familiar and relaxed with subjects that seem ordinary but still have a unique complexity. An artist studies and then relates to objects and scenes in their own way which is why a style appeals to others familiar with their approach. Oh yes, styles of art for an artist can change but their own marks are often recognized. In “Shallots,” a small intimate study in oils appeals to the senses in many ways. It is realistically portrayed and hides very little but always something there to see! Enjoy!
