LC Allingham
LC Allingham (she/her) is a Bucks County author, artist, musician and editor. She grew up in the art community as the daughter of a prominent local art teacher and watercolor artist. She received her BA in journalism from Temple University and has written professionally for over twenty years, while also working interspersedly as an artist, a graphic designer and a musician. In 2022 she co-founded the indie press, Speculation Publications, with her long-time editorial partners and serves as executive editor. She believes that art is what makes life worth living.
Bruce Berlin
Bruce Berlin has been fortunate to be involved with photography for many decades thanks to his dad, an avid amateur photographer. He introduced Bruce to the wonders of photography by building a darkroom in their basement. This allowed him to participate in photography from many different angles in high school and college – to current times.
His involvement continued with various photography clubs throughout the years. It allows him to keep up with the transition from film to digital as he enjoys the best of both worlds. He has benefited from learning from others as well as sharing his knowledge.
Charlene Cerasa
Treasurer
Charlene moved to Bucks County in 2017 to be near family. A retired School Business Administrator, she has pursued volunteer opportunities that align with her interests and expertise for the last 35 years. That typically means being the treasurer! While not an artist, writer or musician, she treasures the talented individuals surrounding her.
Clifford Eberly
Vice President
Clifford Eberly is an artist and curator living in Doylestown. As Exhibitions Associate of the Hicks Art Center Gallery, Eberly presents exhibitions of local, regional and national artists whose transformative art inspires us. Eberly holds a BFA from SCAD and an MFA from Claremont Graduate University. His artworks have been at PØST, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Sturt Haaga Gallery and LACMA among others. In 2019 Eberly received the Curators LAB Grant and organized the exhibition CODE WORD SAFE at the Fellows of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. He is excited to build lasting relationships with the local community to promote the arts.
Hernán Faraci
Hernán was Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His family was granted residency in
the US and moved to New Jersey when he was six.
Studied general illustration and film photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC) and Ringling (Sarasota, FL).
In 2015 studied the Venetian oil painting method of the Renaissance under Christian Rex van Minnen. That is his primary method of oil painting. As of late he’s been experimenting with the reductive painting method that monotypes allow.
Since 2006 he’s worked as an engineer fixing and maintaining high pressure liquid chromatography systems at Merck Pharmaceutical.
Bill Hemmig
Bill Hemmig is the author of Americana: Stories and Brethren Hollow, both published by Read Furiously, and his stories also appear in Read Furiously’s Life in the Garden State anthologies. He’s been published in journals including The Madison Review, Philadelphia Stories, Pink Disco, BarBar, and Children, Churches and Daddies (cc&d), and he is a three-time finalist in the New Millennium Writing Awards.
Deborah Kostianovsky
Deborah Kostianovsky worked as a child and adolescent psychiatrist for thirty years, helping underserved children in Philadelphia. While working part-time, she completed a Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on philosophy of aesthetics, art history, and comparative literature. The master’s program re-ignited her longstanding passion for writing about art.
She recently transitioned from medicine to writing about the visual arts. She reviewed exhibitions and events, wrote about artwork for sale, and showcased artist-members for In Liquid, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit arts organization. She also wrote a series about art and mind for a literary magazine
Linda Lefevre
Linda Fanning Lefevre is a painter best known for her abstract work. Her paintings are in the collection of the State Museum of Pennsylvania, the Reading Public Museum, the Harrisburg Hilton, Pennsylvania State University, and numerous private collections. She is the recipient of a fellowship from the Vermont Studio School and has received numerous awards. Linda held positions as dean and executive dean at Delaware Valley University and Harrisburg Area Community College. After receiving her BA and MA her studies continued at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Vermont Studio School and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
Louise Levy
President
Louise Levy has a varied career from educator to organizational development consultant; from environmental advocacy to her current pursuit of fine art photography.
She is an award-winning photographer who explores the world of light and shadow. Her work has been accepted in many juried shows including the Phillips’ Mill Photography Exhibition, and a solo show at Foulkeways at Gwynedd, Pennsylvania. She also received the Best of Show award from Destig, an international Fine Arts publication.
Peter Miller
Peter is an Architect whose professional career included a 25 yr Partnership/Practice centered in Philadelphia. His work included additions and renovations to Arts, Cultural, Educational and Religious museums and institutions, and custom residential projects in seven states. Recent retirement has enabled him to live primarily in Bucks County and to become more fully engaged in the Arts community.
He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Architecture from Harvard University.
Hayden Saunier
Hayden Saunier is an actor, writer, and founder/director of No River Twice, an interactive poetry performance group. She is the author of six books of poetry, has received numerous national awards for her work, and is a former Bucks County Poet Laureate. Film and theatre credits include The Sixth Sense, House of Cards, Mindhunter and work at the Guthrie, Westbeth, Walnut Street, Arden, and Interact Theaters. Hayden believes that the arts connect us to ourselves and our communities in the deepest and most meaningful ways.
Martha Sperling
Martha Sperling grew up in Bucks County. She has painted all her life. After college and law school, she practiced civil law in Doylestown for 40 years. Now she is painting full time. She is on the Arts & Cultural Board because she loves art and Bucks County and hopes to live up to the foresight of this organization which transformed a brutal old prison into the Michener Museum.
Julie Standig
Secretary
Julie Standig is author of two books of poetry, Memsahib Memoir and The Forsaken Little Black Book. Her poems have appeared in Schuylkill Valley Journal, Gyroscope Review, New Verse News, One Art and elsewhere. She is proud to play a role in the writing and art community that the Arts & Cultural Council provides. And now, more than ever, especially in our turbulent times, our art and words matter most of all.
Melissa D. Sullivan
Melissa D. Sullivan is a writer, journalist, editor and attorney. Her short fiction can be found in Dappled Things, The Coil Magazine, and elsewhere, and her flash fic “Dear Jacqueline” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. In 2023, she was proud to take on the role of publisher of Neshaminy: The Bucks County Historical and Literary Magazine. A graduate of Rutgers University and Boston University School of Law, she can often be found on the mean streets of Bucks County buying yet another book.
