Free Bird
We bought fresh vegetables and eggs driving by a Pennsylvania countryside farmhouse last fall and while photographing the livestock and the gorgeous lined up pumpkins on display, this one scene caught my eye. It had subdued colors and tones, odd crumbling brick shapes, jagged textured stones, plus that lonely chicken. It was a big, throaty, fleeing, multi-colored bird. I wonder if it ever did fly the coop?
