The Wood Pile
The Heritage Conservancy’s Russell-Mandel Preserve in Buckingham Township, PA was privately opened for a group of artists to paint plein air on the grounds. After a morning of painting, I was packing up my gear and spotted this little side entrance to the barn where firewood was being cut and stacked. I loved the strong shadows and shapes of the small roof and stone walls and decided to make a drawing. As a plein air artist I am so grateful for the Heritage Conservancy’s dedication and preservation efforts that ensure and protect all that we love about Bucks County.
