Having grown up in rural Hunterdon County NJ, moving to Bucks County was an easy transition. Between the landscapes, the historic architecture, and the many parks, there is endless subject matter for any artist. I enjoy painting en plein air, (as the weather permits), in addition to studio work. I am mainly an acrylic artist, but also enjoy pastel and ink, and dabble in watercolor. My hope is that the viewer of my art will feel a connection to it, an emotion.

“Lucy the Weathervane” is Henry Chapman Mercers’ horse who helped haul materials for his buildings, and she is immortalized on top of this section of Fonthill Castle, Doylestown, PA. I was inspired to paint this part of Fonthill Castle, as it is not as ornate as the rest of Fonthill. The way the concrete seems to gently curve, evokes a feeling of lightness, yet also of strength, just as “Lucy” was strong!
