Into the Wind

  • 5 x 7 inches, framed to 7 x 9 inches, gold frame – $160

As a longtime resident of Doylestown, Bucks County, I find the landscapes, the historic buildings and museums here inspiring! My hope is that the viewer of my work will feel an emotion, whether of joy, or remembrance or happiness. Mainly an acrylic artist, I also work in pastel and dabble in ink and watercolor. I enjoy painting en plein air as the weather permits, in addition to studio work. My artwork is in several residences, and I have sold at “40 Art”. I was also honored to have been one of the Exhibiting Artists at “Art of Oscar (Hammerstein)” Benefit (2019).

“Into the Wind” is a close-up of Lucy, Henry Chapman Mercer’s beloved horse. She is a weathervane on top of one section of Fonthill Castle, which was Mercers’ home. So Miss Lucy is “Into the Wind” on a daily basis!
