SUMMARY:Under the Same Sky
DESCRIPTION:Beatrice Bork and Joe Kazimierczyk\nJune 4 to July 5\, 2026\nMeet the Artists Reception: Saturday\, June 13\, 5-7 pm\nThis June\, Artists’ Gallery invites viewers to step into the shared world of two artists whose work is inspired by time spent outdoors. Under the Same Sky brings together the evocative wildlife paintings of Beatrice Bork and the atmospheric landscapes of Joe Kazimierczyk\, offering complementary visions of the places they both cherish. \nFor anyone who enjoys birdwatching\, walking woodland trails\, or simply spending time in the natural world\, this exhibition offers a chance to slow down and look more closely. Though their subjects differ—Bork’s intimate portrayals of birds and wildlife and Kazimierczyk’s expansive vistas—their art converges in a celebration of the land\, water\, and sky that connect them. Often drawn to the same haunts\, the artists reveal how a single environment can inspire vastly different yet harmonious interpretations.

SUMMARY:Visions of America Exhibition Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Visions of America is an invitational\, group exhibition of artifacts\, artworks and objects capturing select evolutionary moments of the country’s 250-year history from human and animal perspectives. \nParticipating artists and cultural organizations include: \nEdward Bennett\, Mikel Elam\, Charis Hasney\, Vincent Hawley\, Mercer Museum\, Josh Myers\, Newtown Historic Association\, Duwenavue Santé Johnson and Paul Swenbeck. \nOn view at Hicks Art Center Gallery on the Newtown Campus of Bucks County Community College. \nJune 5 – July 25\, 2026 \nOpening Reception: June 5\, 4 – 8 pm \nFree and open to the public \nThe exhibition presents multiple perspectives addressing specific topics in the history and evolution within America; personal independence\, patriotism\, war\, animal conservation\, queer trans identity\, 1960’s politics\, creativity within Quaker faith and the trauma of slavery. Curated by Clifford Eberly\, Senior Manager of Galleries and Exhibitions at the BCCC Hicks Art Center Gallery\, the diverse participants were asked to self-select or invite artists to propose artworks or objects that they viewed as important guiding reflections on America’s past\, present and future. The multimedia result demonstrates the possibilities of democracy juxtaposed with critical realizations reminding us that for civilization to holistically advance globally\, humility to each other and to the natural world must prevail and begin locally. \nFunded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts \nimage: Vincent Hawley\, Write Your Own Constitution\, 2025
