DESCRIPTION:Coming Up! \nApril: 30 Days of Inspiration\, 2023 \nThe submission link will be active January 15-31. \nPoets and artists are invited to share original work with the community through a poem-a-day matched with an artwork-a-day for every day in April\, in celebration of National Poetry Month and hosted by the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County. \nSubmissions will be accepted January 15-January 31\, 2023. The submission link will be active during that time. \nApril: 30 Days of Inspiration seeks poems and art that explore what strengthens\, connects\, revives or calms—from small\, seemingly ordinary moments to dramatic occasions\, broad landscapes\, and abstractions. A different poem matched with a different artwork will be featured on ACCBC social media each day of April\, 2023. Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County will curate the exhibition. \nCOMPLETE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES \nPoetry and artwork submissions will be accepted from January 15-31\, 2023. The submission link will be active during that time. \nArtists and writers do not have to be residents of Bucks County or members of the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County to participate. Submissions from new\, emerging\, and established artists are welcomed. We especially encourage submissions from historically underrepresented voices in arts communities\, and we celebrate the full expression of all identities. \nDonations to the A&CCBC and new memberships are encouraged to support our work\, but there is no submission fee for this project! Join us! \nPOETRY SUBMISSIONS: SEND UP TO TWO \n\nSend up to two (2) poems in a single document (.doc or .docx)\nUse only Times New Roman 12 pt. font\nEach poem should be no more than 20 lines.\nWe accept previously published work. The Next Gen Features Tortoise Junior and Lil’ Hare in a whole new kind of race; where their adventures lead them into unexpected territory. Old man Tortoise and Big Daddy Hare must come together despite their differences to find and save their children. What hurdles will they have to overcome to make it to the finish line?

Free to attend\, but please register to reserve your seat below. \n“Cruz\,” a documentary that tells the story of a Rarámuri family in search of justice plus a conversation with filmmaker Teresa Camou Guerrero. \nCruz\, a determined Raramuri indigenous man from Mexico\, and his community were driven from their land by a drug cartel because they refused to grow opium poppies instead of corn. They now live in exile and fear for their lives while desperately seeking justice and a safe return to their homeland. This weekend will be the first time “Cruz” has been screened in person with the filmmaker in the United States. \n“Cruz” aims to raise awareness about the consequences of illegal drug production in indigenous and peasant communities\, the loss of territory and identity\, and the lack of justice in Mexico.
