DESCRIPTION:GET READY FOR THE FALL SALON MEMBER SHOW 2022\nCALL TO ARTISTS: Registration August 1-19 \nAny medium\, any subject matter\, any style\n2D & 3D works accepted\nOverview below \nShow Runs September 10 – October 2 \nArts & Cultural Council of Bucks County hosts its second annual Fall Salon Member Show at Freeman Hall\, which opens the weekend of the Doylestown Art Festival. \nThis show will be a fabulous opportunity for artists and collectors\, all of whom are invited to see the show and support local artists by making a purchase. \nIn addition\, the weekend of October 1-2\, the A&C has some “bookish events” planned to highlight both literary and visual artist members. \nThe exhibition and programs are free and open to the public. \nAT A GLANCE: \n\nRegister online between August 1- 19\, 2022\, at bucksarts.org/enter \nA&C member artists may submit two artworks – one framed and one portfolio piece.\nThere is no entry fee. Some artists may have pieces displayed on the second floor.\nSize limit for all art should not exceed 16” X 20”\, frames may make dimensions larger (i.e.\, a 16” x 20” painting in a 24” x 30” frame is acceptable)\nArtists’ name\, phone number\, email address\, website (if available)\, title\, medium\, and price must be on the back of all pieces. \nAll hanging works must be wired for hanging or will be declined upon delivery; NO sawtooth hangers.\nArtists are invited to bring promotional literature (postcards\, business cards\, etc.) for the A&C to make available to visitors to the exhibit. We will also feature this literature in our booth at the Doylestown Arts Festival.\nParticipating artists may agree to commit to some gallery sitting during the run of the show; we will be in touch.\nRegional artists who are not currently A&C members are encouraged to join now and take advantage of this exhibition opportunity. The remaining 20% will support the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County.\nBuyers will purchase work directly through the A&C. Artists will be informed of all sales and will be reimbursed at the end of the show.\n\nLiability  \n\nI understand that the A&C exhibition space at Freeman Hall will be used by artist tenants and Salem Church for occasional events during the exhibition.\nThe work I am submitting for A&C FALL SALON MEMBERS SHOW at FREEMAN HALL is the possession and responsibility of the artist. While the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County and Freeman Hall at Salem will do their best to protect the work of art\, they are not liable for any damages and/or theft that may come to the work while on display. I also understand that I/the artist am/is may be responsible for picking up work at the close of the exhibition on October 3. The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County and Freeman Hall at Salem will be unable to store work after that date.\nAny works submitted to the A&C FALL SALON MEMBERS SHOW at FREEMAN HALL may be photographed\, and photographs may be used by the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County and Freeman Hall at Salem for video\, website\, internet\, publicity\, films\, social media\, and Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County and Freeman Hall at Salem publications. I understand that the artist’s name may be used in conjunction with the images. I also understand that the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County and Freeman Hall at Salem will not share these images with any other institution or organization for their use without prior permission.

SUMMARY:LITERARY ARTS SALON at Freeman Hall
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a LITERARY ARTS SALON on August 4\, 2022\, at 7 pm at Freeman Hall\, 181 East Court Street\, Doylestown\, featuring four distinctive writers and poets: Dante Del Vecchio\, Patricia Goodrich\, Cleveland Wall\, and Bill Wunder. Presented by the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County. \nAll four writers will read selections from their work followed by a relaxed discussion\, Q & A session\, and light refreshments. Books will be available for sale. Seating is limited and free parking is available. Reservations are required. Weather permitting\, the salon will be held on the front porch\, if not\, we will be in the parlor at Freeman Hall and will follow the covid protocols of Freeman Hall. \nFor reservations email info@bucksarts.org.  \nMEET THE ARTISTS:\nDante del Vecchio is a poet\, singer/songwriter and painter. He is the former winner of the student poetry contest at Bucks County Community College and former editor of the Literary magazine at the college. He has been published in various small presses and university publications. He is also a former finalist for the Bucks County Poet Laureate contest. \nPatricia Goodrich is a poet and visual artist. She has been featured reader at writers’ conferences in Slovenia\, Lithuania\, and Russia\, and at the Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival\, USA She has received Pennsylvania Fellowships in Poetry and Creative Nonfiction. Stone Hunting in Transylvania\, Woman With A Wandering Eye\, How the Moose Got To Be\, Verda’s House\, and Red Mud are among Goodrich’s books of poems. Her poetry has been translated into Chinese\, Finnish\, French\, Lithuanian\, Slovenian\, and Romanian. . The River Place\, a volume in collaboration with Romanian poet Ioan Hadarig will be published August\, 2022. \nCleveland Wall is a poet\, teaching artist\, and librarian in Bethlehem\, PA. She performs with interactive poetry troupe No River Twice and with musical combo The Starry Eyes. She is the author of Let X=X and many small\, hand-made chapbooks. Current obsessions include dream life\, embodied poetics\, ephemeral art\, and the power of persistent\, incremental change. \nBill Wunder’s poem\, “’Looking Through Old Family Photographs was chosen as a co-winner for First Prize in the 2022 Allen Ginsberg Poetry Awards. He is a poet\, editor and the author of four volumes of poetry. Bill’s book\, Hand’s Turning the Earth was a national finalist in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. He is a two-time Pushcart Nominee\, and a former Poet Laureate of Bucks County\, Pa. His newest volume of Poetry is Welcome to Paradise\, New and Selected Poems. Bill’s poems are widely published\, and recently\, some of his work became a permanent part of a Living Anthology on War Memories published in Revue LISA (Le Mans\, France). A Vietnam veteran\, Bill served as Poetry Editor of The Schuylkill Valley Journal (Philadelphia\, Pa.) for ten years.
