This series began 26 years ago by two librarians Michele Gendron and Michele Beluomini. They started a long tradition of creating an opportunity for published poets to share their works with the library community. She is an actor and is the founder and director of No River Twice (poetry + improvisation) an interactive\, audience driven poetry reading/performance. \nAlfred Encarnacion has taught writing at Temple University and published poetry\, short stories\, essays\, and literary reviews in journals such as Crab Orchard Review\, Florida Review\, Indiana Review\, North American Review\, Paterson Literary Review\, The Schuylkill Valley Journal\, and The Virtual Artists Collective (online review). He has won a Wilson Foundation Scholarship Award\, a Poets House Scholarship in NYC\, and his poems have been nominated for five Pushcart Prizes. His debut book of poetry\, The Outskirts of Karma\, appeared in 2012\, Ambassadors of the Silenced\, his second collection\, was published in 2016\, and a third collection Precincts of the Passion Dragon is a work in progress.
