SUMMARY:Poems for The Lonely Girls
DESCRIPTION:A & C members Constance McBride (Visual Artist) and Bernadette McBride (Literary Artist) share the A & C Sculpture Spotlight from July 2023 to January 2024 at the Township Library of Lower Southampton\, highlighting five Lonely Girls (sculpture) and five Poems beginning July 7th. \nBernadette McBride is the award-winning author of four full-length poetry collections\, served as long-time poetry editor for the Schuylkill Valley Journal and is a founding member of poetry improv troupe\, No River Twice. Constance McBride’s work throws light on issues experienced by most women—from becoming aware of the male gaze and self-objectifying\, to harassment\, abuse\, marginalization and ageism. \nVisitors can see their work during library hours: 10am–8pm Monday through Thursday\, 12-4pm Friday\, and 9am–4pm Saturday. The Township Library of Lower Southampton is located at 1983 Bridgetown Pike in Feasterville-Trevose\, PA.

DESCRIPTION:Jeanne Chesterton is the featured artist for May at the J. B. Kline Gallery in Lambertville\, New Jersey. “Favoring Realism” highlights the paintings for which the award-winning artist is recognized. Working in oil\, Ms. Chesterton selects still life subjects\, artfully arranged in compositions mostly observed at eye level. Preferring common\, ordinary objects which reflect the beauty marks of age and wear\, she works to capture their presence in realistic renderings. “Zig Zag and Dots\,” featured here\, shows her affinity to metal ware.\nJeanne will be painting at the gallery most Saturdays from 2 to 4pm.\nThe Opening Reception is Saturday\, May 8th from 5 to 8pm. DESCRIPTION:Modern Fossils is thrilled to again be a part of THAT: The Hunterdon Art Tour 2021! \nTHAT is an annual\, countywide\, self-guided driving tour of artist’s studios and cultural centers\, which will be open to the Public from 11AM-5PM on Saturday May 1st and Sunday May 2nd. \n**Modern Fossils will once again be exhibiting inside the Frenchtown Hardware Store at 11 Kingwood Ave\, Frenchtown NJ\, on both days!** \nTHAT cultivates awareness of and builds connections within Hunterdon County’s abundant creative and educational communities\, and thereby gains recognition for the county as a vital home and destination for the arts. \nIn homage to the great American road trip\, THAT curates a countywide studio tour along the region’s scenic by-ways\, linking together a mixture of arts venues and studios as engaging day trips.
