DESCRIPTION:The Arts and Cultural Council of Bucks County is excited to announce their Small Works Show at The Art Walk in Doylestown Hospital. We are thrilled to partner with Doylestown Hospital to feature our members’ works from September through November 2024.  \n  \nExhibition Details: \nLocation: The Art Walk\, Doylestown Hospital \nDuration: September 2 to November 21\, 2024 \nImportant Dates: \nDrop-Off Date: Thursday\, August 29\, 2024\, from 9 to 11 AM \nPick-Up Date: Monday\, November 21\, 2024\, from 9 to 11 AM \nParticipation Requirements: \nYou must be an A&C Member to participate. \nEach artist must sign and bring a completed loan agreement\, which includes their contact information for potential sales and a brief description of their piece. \nEach piece should have a sign with contact information for prospective buyers\, matching the provided template. \nAll pieces must be wired for hanging. Framing is optional. Sculpture work is welcome as we will have locked cases available. \nAdditional Information: \nMultiple signs will be placed around the Art Walk to direct prospective purchasers to the individual pieces for artist contact information. \nWe look forward to showcasing our talented members’ works in this prominent space\, and your participation and support in making this exhibition a success!  \nMore details to come. \n

SUMMARY:Open Call for Exhibition - 'Winter Impressions' at Hicks Art Center
DESCRIPTION:Open Call for the exhibition Winter Impressions at Hicks Art Center.\n \nSubject matter or material should address winter in some way including landscape\, abstract\, holidays\, colors\, interiors\, still life etc. All media accepted\, with the exception of giclees which are not allowed. Digital art\, and video will be viewed on a monitor. Size limit for 2D works is 36″ including frame. Frames are not required but 2D work must be wired and ready to hang. Sculpture size limit is 2 ft. in any direction. The gallery has a limited number of pedestals for sculpture. Please contact the gallery to inquire about the use of a gallery pedestal.\n \nThere is no fee to participate in Winter Impressions. Works may be for sale or not for sale. Loan forms must be completed at drop off or completed ahead of time and emailed to gallery@bucks.edu. Contact Clifford Eberly at gallery@bucks.edu to receive a loan form ahead of time. The college receives 25% of sales which support student scholarships.\n \nThe exhibition will take place from December 18 – February 8 in the hallways outside the main gallery and in the Atrium Gallery at Hicks Art Center on the campus of Bucks County Community College.\nDrop off: December 12 and 13 from 8 am. – 4 pm\nPick up is February 10 from 8 am – 6 pm.\n \nA reception will take place on January 25th from 12 – 3 pm in conjunction with the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen exhibition in the main gallery. SUMMARY:Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen Exhibition and Sale
DESCRIPTION:The Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen Exhibition and Sale kicks off on November 21st at Hicks Art Center Gallery on the campus of Bucks County Community College.\n \nAll are invited to attend the opening reception from 4 – 7 pm on November 21st to celebrate the artisans and enjoy light refreshments.\nA wide range of fine craft media and art including ceramics\, fiber\, glass\, jewelry\, millinery\, painting\, photography\, weaving and wood turning will be available for immediate purchase. The diverse and spectacular inventory will be replenished throughout the exhibition as works are purchased and collected.  \nParticipating BCGC members include: Basia Andrusko\, Nurit Bland\, Jen Blyth\, Laurie Carretta Scupp\, Eileen Cressman Reeder\, Annette Debevec\, Nancy Gibbs\, Lara Ginsburg\, Christel Hoffmann\, Bernard Hohlfeld\, Peter Jacobson\, Nick Martier\, Melissa Michael\, Page Morahan\, Barbara Neale\, Monique Perry\, Adrienne Romano\, Margot Sweed\, Celeste Thompson\, Amy Turner\, and Gable Young.\nThe exhibition will be on view through January 25\, 2025 and culminate with a “Make and Take” mini workshop (tbd) and a closing reception on January 25 from 12 – 3 pm.\n \nGallery hours are Monday – Friday from 10 am – 6 pm and Saturday from 12 – 4 pm.
