SUMMARY:Doylestown Musicfest
DESCRIPTION:Doylestown Music Fest is looking for sponsors to fund our free outdoor concert on Saturday May 4\, 2019 from 11am – 6pm.\nThe concert will take place in the parking lot beside Starbucks in the heart of the borough. Food vendors will be invited to setup on the perimeter and local merchants will be invited to participate as well. The event is expected to draw thousands of attendees from around the region \nDoylestown Music Fest is a grass roots event that supports and promotes local bands and musicians. During this week-long event\, local restaurants\, bars\, cafes\, merchants\, churches and museums host talented musicians for residents and visitors to enjoy. This year will be Doylestown Music Fest’s third annual event and we are looking to add a free outdoor concert in the heart of the borough featuring many talented musicians. We would also like to hire musicians to perform outside throughout town during that week. Our goal is to fill the streets of Doylestown with music.\nParticipating venues include Villa Capri\, Puck\, M.O.M.S\, Siren Records\, James A. Michener Art Museum\, The Zen Den\, Chambers 19\, Hops/Scotch 22\, School of Rock\, Doylestown Brewing Company\, Penn Tap Room and others. \nWe are collecting personal donations on our GoFundMe

SUMMARY:Artmobile Curriculum Consultants needed
DESCRIPTION:Artmobile Curriculum Consultants\n(2 positions available) \nMust have expertise in one or both of the following disciplines: \nVisual Arts/Humanities\, Science/Engineering/Physics \nArtmobile is an art museum for all ages housed in a 48-foot semi-trailer. It travels throughout Bucks County\nfrom September to June\, visiting schools in all 13 districts and many public sites. In addition to providing a\nmuseum experience for students\, Artmobile’s program includes pre-visit teacher training and educational\nmaterials with practical\, interdisciplinary classroom activities that correlate to Pennsylvania Core Standards\nAligned System. Learn more at www.bucks.edu/artmobile. \nWe are looking for experienced educators to develop K-12 curriculum in Visual Arts and\nScience/Engineering for our new STEAM exhibition\, Marvelous Machines (see attached exhibition\ndescription). Curriculum materials will be available on the Artmobile website and in printed teacher\nmanuals distributed to schools. Consultants will receive a stipend and will be credited in publications.\nThe successful candidates will: \n Enjoy working collaboratively to develop and write K-12 curriculum for one or more content areas.\n Show leadership in their field of K-12 teaching by virtue of engaged students who are excited about\ntheir classes or approach to learning.\n Participate with the curator & Artmobile staff in a brief overview session in late May.\n Work at Bucks County Community College\, Newtown campus\, for several days in late June to meet\nthe project deadline.\n Handle and engage with original artworks. \nTo Apply:\nSubmit a brief letter along with a 1-2 page resume that highlights your interests\, curriculum strengths\, and\nteaching philosophy.
