SUMMARY:Jeanne Chesterton Exhibits at the J.B. Kline Gallery in Lambertville | May 1-31
DESCRIPTION:Jeanne Chesterton is the featured artist for May at the J. B. Kline Gallery in Lambertville\, New Jersey. “Favoring Realism” highlights the paintings for which the award-winning artist is recognized. Working in oil\, Ms. Chesterton selects still life subjects\, artfully arranged in compositions mostly observed at eye level. Preferring common\, ordinary objects which reflect the beauty marks of age and wear\, she works to capture their presence in realistic renderings. “Zig Zag and Dots\,” featured here\, shows her affinity to metal ware.\nJeanne will be painting at the gallery most Saturdays from 2 to 4pm.\nThe Opening Reception is Saturday\, May 8th from 5 to 8pm. All are welcome.\nPlease visit the gallery website to check on hours and social distancing measures in place.

SUMMARY:Bill Jersey Solo Exhibition at Stover Mill Gallery | June 26-July 25
DESCRIPTION:Bill Jersey\, 94\, Artist and Award-Winning Filmmaker to Exhibit at the Stover Mill Gallery\nFeatured Image\, “Something About Time\,” detail \nOpening June 26th\, Stover Mill gallery will be showing over 30 landscapes by Artist Bill Jersey. When the award winning filmmaker moved to Lambertville 12 years ago he embraced his first love – oil painting. His first submission to the Phillips Mill curated show earned him an award and a sale to Gratz gallery. \nThe rich landscapes of Bucks and Hunterdon counties Jersey says -“Are all I need to move me to pick up brushes and paints”\, but he slips in a few earlier works from Vermont and California to round out his presentation. With the Stover Mill Gallery exhibition of his “Hopperesque style” and new impressionistic work\, Bill will also turn 94. “No reason\,” he says\, “to slow down now!” The exhibit entitled Explorations is open from 1:00 to 5:00pm on June 26-27\, July 3-4\, 10-11\, 17-18\, 24-25. \nThe Stover Mill Gallery – housed in the beautifully restored 187 year-old Stover Mill which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places – is located along the Delaware River at 852 River Road (Route 32)\, Erwinna PA; two miles south of the Frenchtown Bridge and 15 miles north of New Hope. Owned and operated by the non-profit Tinicum Civic Association\, all proceeds are used for the support of non-profit groups serving the Tinicum and the surrounding area\, and for the maintenance of the historic Stover Mill. \nFor further information visit www.StoverMill.org or contact the artist at www.BillJersey.com
