This workshop offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage deeply with their environment through the art of texture rubbing. By capturing the intricate patterns and surfaces we often overlook, participants will create a tactile library of textures. These resources will serve as the foundation for a collage, reflecting the beauty and serendipity found in everyday encounters. As the session progresses, the discussion will delve into how these accidental discoveries and aesthetic experiences shape our perception of beauty. Participants will then be encouraged to transfer these insights into their writing, using the technique of texture rubbing as a metaphor for exploring layers of meaning and detail in their work. The workshop will culminate in a brief share-out session, where attendees can present their creations and insights, fostering an environment of collective learning and inspiration
