FIBER ARTIST

I am a life time resident of Bucks County, and was raised in an artistic family in Lahaska. I now live in Doylestown.

My father had a pottery studio, and was one of the founders of the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen.

He gave me a loom when I was in High School. That is when I first tried weaving on a loom.

I have been an active member of the Handweavers of Bucks County for many years.

I am a juried member of the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen, and the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.

Many years back, I was a featured artist in the Bucks County Town and Country magazine.

I have now been weaving for over 45 years, and have a home studio, with 2 spinning wheels, and too many looms.

I enjoy hand spinning yarns, hand dyeing fiber, and yarns, and when possible incorporate them into my handwoven pieces, along with purchased yarns.

I have recently been doing scarves with hand painted warps, tapestry inlays and glass beads.

I also enjoy painting the fabrics after they are of the loom.

Usually every piece I make is one of a kind.
