May 13 - Grantseeking Basics in the Arts                        

When:        Thursday, May13, 7-8:30 p.m.
Where:       Doylestown Library, 150 S. Pine Street, Doylestown, PA
Admission:   Free

Learn how to identify grant funding to support individuals and organizations working in the arts.   This workshop will teach you about important resources available both on the internet and at the new Nonprofit Resource Center here in Bucks County.


May 5 - Annual Members Event                               
When:   Wednesday May 5, 6-8 p.m.
Where: The Stocking Works, 301 S. State Street, Newtown, PA
Admission:    A&C Members free / non-members $25

This annual event is an opportunity for members to network and celebrate the Arts & Culture in Bucks County.  Come and celebrate Cinco de Mayo together!




April 12-Bucks County Arts Advocacy Day Rally

When: Monday, April 12, 12:15-1 p.m.
Where:  Bucks County Courthouse
               Main Street, Doylestown, PA

Join us for Bucks County's celebration of National Arts Advocacy Day!

Please join us for this rally to raise awareness of the importance of arts and culture in the life of the County - especially with regard to education, the economy and quality of life.

The rally will include music, speakers and networking. While this is a non-political event, invitations are being extended to all of our county, state and federal legislators as well as teachers, superintendents, cultural organizations, arts supporters and the general public.

Please join us and lend your voice to the cause!   

Attendees are encouraged to bring printed materials about their organizations to share on tables.  



March 24 - Grantseeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts
 
When:    Wednesday, March 24 from 7-8:30 p.m.
Where:  Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library
             680 Radcliffe St. Bristol, PA 19007
Admission:    Free - A&C Council Members only

If you are an individual involved in the arts and looking for funding to complete a project, mount an exhibition, put on a performance, conduct research, or anything else arts-related, this workshop will show you how to identify funders supporting individuals working in the arts.
 
Registration:  Space is limited and registration is required.  

March 21 - Sneak Peek Behind the Curtain at the Bristol Riverside Theatre
When:  Sunday, March 21 from 5-6 p.m.
Where:  Bristol Riverside Theatre
             120 Radcliffe St., Bristol, PA 19007
Admission:   Free - A&C Council Members only
Come backstage at Bristol Riverside Theatre in this, the first in a series of the  Sneak Peek Behind the Scenes events sponsored by the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County.

A&C Council members are invited to join us for this special opportunity to tour the scene shop, the costume shop, under the stage, into the catwalks and get to know how the theatrical process is similar to or different from your own artistic process.  Managing Directer Amy Kaisser will lead this tour as we look at design sketches, renderings, set models, and fabric swatches to see how a work for the theatre is made!
