Jeanne Chesterton paints in oil, primarily still life subjects, rendered realistically. She is fascinated by the subtleties of surface color and light which invite her to explore the richer depths of ordinary objects. Her goal is to discover and capture this essence and to portray something of the mystique which excites her.
Jeanne has had the privilege of taking classes or workshops with James Feehan, Dot Bunn, Carlo Russo, Coulter Watt, and Matarese Roche. Additionally, her artistic experience continues to be enriched by the exhibits and educational opportunities provided at the James A. Michener Art Museum where she was a docent for ten years.
The artist has shown her work throughout the area. Her paintings have been juried into Phillips Mill, Ellarslie Museum, the Philadelphia Sketch Club, and other venues. Jeanne is a member of Artsbridge, New Hope Art League, Artists of Yardley, and the Philadelphia Sketch Club.
