Tom Furey is a Contemporary American award winning Bucks County artist who has worked in the area for over forty years. He studied art at Bucks County Community College and the Maryland Institute of Art. After completing college, he returned to Bristol, Pennsylvania and established an 'Artist Co-operative' with two other local painters called the "Mill Street Studio". The facility served as an inexpensive working studio for many local artists and was functional for thirty years.
Aside from a career in the Fine Arts, Tom is a skilled craftsman who, over the years, has specialized in jewelry design and provided services for many of the local Bucks County jewelry stores. He also owned and ran a pencil portraiture business for a period of time. Today, he continues to produce paintings for commission work and private collectors. His private collections are held by clients in Canada, England, Ireland, Germany and the United States.
