| The Upstairs Gallery at the Sand Castle Winery presents a solo show featuring Deborah Vieytes on September 15th through the 19th. Her work is variable from modern surrealistic designs in oil to mixed media pieces encased in shadow box frames. Her art appeals to a broad spectrum of art lovers. A bit of an extremist, over the years her work has traveled from folk art to the abstract. As a folk artist her one-of-a-kind hand painted wood pieces have been displayed at the Walt Whitman Birthplace Museum in NY, the Hotel Dupont in Delaware as well as at the Whitehouse in 2000 as part of the ‘Save America’s Treasure’ program. After a brief excursion into the world of finance she has returned to her studio with a new philosophy on art and life in general…"Live life and create beauty with no regrets". Inspiration for her work today comes from every angle of life. From family and friends, nature to human emotions, the real to the surreal, it’s all there. The Upstairs Gallery is excited to display Deborah's work in one cohesive show, a delight for all eye's to view. Please join us for a wine and cheese reception and tour through the gallery on Saturday, September 18th.
