In celebration of the Museum’s twentieth anniversary, Twenty Years of Collecting brings together more than 100 works from its permanent collection, highlighting its most outstanding acquisitions and documenting the Buck’s County region’s vibrant artistic and cultural heritage. Twenty Years of Collecting tells the story of the Michener’s vision for its collections. From its earliest acquisitions of Pennsylvania impressionist paintings to the more recent addition of modern studio furniture and contemporary video art, the Michener Art Museum has built a rich and varied collection that expresses the changing relationship of artists to both their physical and cultural environment, as well as the dynamic technical and conceptual innovations that are part of the Bucks County visual arts tradition.A&C ROUNDUP
