Caren Friedman - Lecture and Demonstration, "Highlighting the work of paper artists"

This illustrated lecture will highlight the work of paper artists living in the Philadelphia area. Historical and contemporary approaches to papermaking will be presented as well as a brief demonstration of Western and Asian methods of papermaking. Examples of papermaking equipment will be displayed along with fiber and paper samples from different parts of the world. Caren Friedman is a professor at Bucks County Community College and has taught printmaking, papermaking and 2D design for the past eighteen years. Her work has appeared in exhibits throughout the U.S.

Fee: members $8 / non-members $12, includes general Museum admission.
Space is limited, advance registration required.
